Giovanni Vetritto

Senior civil servant, in charge at the Italian Presidency of Council of Ministers since 2000, he became Director General in 2013.
Graduated in Law at the University La Sapienza of Rome, he specialized at the National School of Public Administration. He served in top-level posts in the Central Public Administration. He also was staff chief of the Italian Minister for Cohesion (2011-2013).
He has worked on local development and effective use of the European Structural Funds.
He is member of the Steering Committee of Critica liberale, a foundation and a monthly liberal journal. He also is member of the Scientific Committee of Associazione F.S. Nitti and of Fondazione Nitti.
He is author of national and international publications (main research interests: public administration, administrative history, local development, European cohesion policies, social innovation policies).
Shala Mills – She is assistant vice president of graduate and extended learning at the State University of New York at New Pals (USA). She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Baylor University in Texas and she earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kansas. She previously served as director of liberal education and chair and professor of political science at Fort Hays State University in Kansas. She also created the Political Science Department’s dual degree program with Shenyang Normal University in China. She has served as one of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities’ (AASCU) Global Engagement Scholars, as the National Coordinator for the AASCU Global Challenges Project, and she serves on the National Steering Committee for AASCU American Democracy Project. She was the recipient of the AASCU American Democracy Project Barbara Burch Award for Faculty Leadership in Civic Engagement in 2017.
Paolo Praticò – Graduated in Economics at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, he has been in charge of Invitalia’s Large Investment and Business Development Area since 2018. In particular, he deals with measures to support medium and large-sized entrepreneurial investment projects and agreements between central, regional and local administrations for the re-launching of areas in industrial crisis. Since July 2013, he worked for the Calabria Italian Region as General Manager of the Programming Department, coordinating programs and the Intelligent Specialization Strategy for Regional Innovation, contributing to the drafting of the Administrative Strengthening Plan and dealing with institutional communication by a strong innovative drive to actively include citizens. He also worked for the Department of Economic Development and Cohesion – Ministry of the Economic Development.
Luca Favali – He is a civil servant working as senior controller for the Municipality of Grosseto. He also is an university lecturer in “Production cycle technology” for the University “Guglielmo Marconi” – Economics Faculty – Rome.
Graduate in Law at the University of Siena, he made post graduate studies at the University of Ferrara in “Management of the environment and sustainable development” and at the University “Bocconi” of Milan in “Organizational planning and organizational efficiency”. He got a Ph.D. in “Sustainable Rural Development, Territory and the Environment ” at University of Perugia.He also taught at the University of Milan and at the University IUAV of Venice. He worked for Italian Environment Ministry as a Member of the EMAS and Ecolabel Committee.
Vittorio Bugli – Local Administrator for more than ten years, he was member of the Regional Council for two legislatures. Since 2015 he has held the position of member of the Regional Government: he is in charge of balance sheet, where he introduced innovative systems of accountability; civil society participation, which he supported creating a specific regional Agency; open-data and ICT, where he finalized innovation to the improvement of efficiency; wealth and regeneration of disused public properties.
Giovanna Ciniero – Graduated in Science of Public Administration and Organization at the University Unitelma-La Sapienza of Rome, she is senior researcher for Fondazione Etica. She specialized in: assessment of the public system, mainly at local level; measurement of public performance, transparency and anti-corruption; ranking and benchmarking process for Public Administrations.
